Personal Overview
Dr. Hussein Kareem Sultan obtained his:
• Bachelor's (B.Sc.) from civil engineering department, college of engineering, University of Mosul, Iraq, 1991 and
• Master's degrees (M.Sc.) from structural engineering department, faculty of engineering, Cairo University, Egypt, 26/8/2013.
• He received his Ph.D. from structural engineering department, faculty of engineering, Mansoura University, Egypt, 5/1/2017.
He has been a member of the Department of Civil Engineering, Al-Muthanna University, where he is now an Associate Professor.
Dr. Hussein has published and presented over fourteen technical papers in the reputed civil engineering journals and international conferences, and has authored books on concrete technology and Repair and strengthening of concrete structures. His major research interests are reactive powder concrete, self-compacting concrete, fiber reinforced concrete, high performance concrete, and repair and strengthening of reinforced concrete elements using advanced composite materials. His consulting activities have dealt primarily with the assessment of the properties of concrete in existing structures, the durability of concrete, and repair.
